DEPRESSION IS DISABLING

Depression is one of the most commonly misunderstood conditions. Symptoms are sometimes hard to recognize, which often results in depression being ignored or untreated. If you think you or someone you know may be experiencing a depression, check these warning signals:

  Sad feelings – crying without knowing why or for the slightest reason.
  Feeling confused – hard to make decisions.
  Finding it difficult to function in daily routines.
  Withdrawal from others – wanting to be left alone.
  Dependent on chemicals such as sleeping pills, tranquilizers, or alcohol to keep going.
  Feeling lack of self-esteem – worthlessness.
  Loss of interest in personal appearance.
  Noticeable changes in appetite, weight loss or gain or change in sleeping patterns.
  Caught up in feelings of resentment or self-pity.
