Clerical Skills. Help with mailings, assemble projects or assist with basic office support functions in Fort Dodge.

Volunteer Receptionist. Help in the Sioux City, Fort Dodge and Des Moines offices with answering phones and greeting people during key times of the week.

Mentor. Befriend and support a young mother or father who is expecting a baby or who has just had a baby.

Phonathon caller. Be part of the energetic volunteer team that helps renew pledges during this annual fall FUNdraiser.

RAGBRAI® Bike Team Rider. Be a part of the team who will ride across Iowa and raise pledges for the Counseling Assistance Fund.

Community Advocate. Through a grassroots approach, you can help build awareness and support for LFS in your communities and churches across the state.

Prayer Partner. Provide spiritual support for Lutheran Family Service and the people served by including us in your prayers.

Internet Researcher. Help promote Lutheran Family Service on the Internet by researching and finding appropriate web sites where LFS could be listed or linked.

Regional Advisory Council (RAC) Member. RACs are made up of LCMS pastors and church members from each circuit within seven regions that LFS has identified. The purpose of the RAC is for members to be an advocate for LFS in their area and identify ways in which LFS can help meet the changing needs in Iowa.

Public Relations and Writing. The LFS marketing team is short-staffed and could use your help with public relations and writing projects. If you have background in these areas and would like to volunteer your time, we'd like to hear from you!

Advertising and Media Placement. The LFS marketing team is short-staffed and could use your help with advertising or media placement. If you have background in these areas, and would like to offer your time or advice, we'd like to hear from you!

Special Event Management. An opportunity to help organize special events to build awareness of and raise money for Lutheran Family Service exists. If you have an interest and/or expertise in this area, please let us know.

Marketing and/or Market Research. Market research is periodically needed so that we can best serve the changing needs of Iowans across the state. Please let us know if you have the capacity to help develop or conduct the research.

Law. An opportunity to advise LFS management with adoption and real estate needs is an ongoing need. Occasionally, pro bono work is needed to help families in need of legal advice.
